Millinery Market – How to do a Keyword Search
Millinery Market lets you refine your search by using filters such as price, colour, hat shape and features.
But what if you are looking for something specific that’s not covered by the filters?
That’s where the keyword search can come in handy. You can do a keyword search by typing in the box that says ‘Search for a hat’.
Where to Find the Search Box
On a computer the search box is located in the top left corner of the page beside the Millinery Market logo.
On a mobile phone, you first need to click the magnifying glass icon in the top right corner, and then the search box will appear beneath.
Where does the Search find from?
The keyword search finds from the following fields (in order of preference):
- Hat listing title
- Hat listing description
- Text listing field contents
- Location of the hat listing (street name, zip code, city name)
Examples of Keyword Searches
Now let’s go through a couple of examples to give you some ideas on how to use it.
Find hats made by a specific milliner
All hat listings have a ‘milliner’ text field which the search can find from so if you have a favourite milliner, you can see if any of their hats are listed in the marketplace.
For example, let’s say you really like Maker Millinery’s design style. You could search the keyword ‘maker’ in the search box. This brings up 3 results, one listing from Maker Millinery and two other listings from other users.
Find a specific feature or element
Let’s say your race dress has bead embellishments and you’d like to continue the theme in your millinery. You could search the keyword ‘bead’ in the search box.
These are just a couple examples of how you could use the search box. I’m sure you’ll come up with other clever ways to find just what you are looking for.
Now that you’ve mastered the keyword search, you might like to learn how to use the filters or find a hat based on location.
